
About Mike
Mike Andrews joined Beasley Allen Law Firm in 1998. He focuses on complex product liability cases—especially those involving serious injuries or wrongful death caused by defective aircraft, trucks, cars, and heavy equipment. He is currently working hard to support the families of the victims of the Air India 171 crash.

Mike is known for his passion for highly technical cases and his deep commitment to helping injured children. His courtroom success has earned him top honors, including Beasley Allen’s Litigator of the Year and Lawyer of the Year for the Products Liability Section. He’s also been named one of the Top 10 Aviation Attorneys and among the Top 100 Civil Plaintiff Lawyers in the U.S. by the National Trial Lawyers. He has also been included in numerous editions of The Best Lawyers in America®for Aviation, Personal Injury and Product Liability. Most recently, he was recognized in the Lawdragon 500 Leading Plaintiff Consumer Lawyers.
With a national reputation as a fierce advocate for individuals and families harmed by dangerous products, Mike has established a remarkable track record. His success includes securing numerous seven- and eight-figure verdicts and settlements. A significant portion of his caseload is dedicated to representing victims of aviation disasters. Mike handles fixed-wing and rotary aircraft incidents and also represented families of individuals killed in the 2019 crash of Ethiopian Airlines/Boeing 737 MAX flight 302 outside of Bishoftu, Ethiopia. Other notable cases include: an $18.8 million verdict for a young man paralyzed in a truck rollover, an $8 million verdict for a nurse injured by a defective Volkswagen Passat, and a $7 million verdict against Ford Motor Co. for a fatal post-crash fire caused by a defective vehicle. He also played a key role in litigation against General Motors over defective ignition switches that led to serious injuries and deaths. Mike is especially experienced in cases involving traumatic brain injuries (TBI), where his technical expertise and compassionate approach make a powerful difference.
Beyond the courtroom, Mike is a leader in the legal community. He’s an active member of the Alabama Trial Lawyers Association, Montgomery County Trial Lawyers Association, American Bar Association, and the Alabama State Bar. He also contributes to the Attorneys Information Exchange Group, serves on the UAB Transportation Safety Advisory Board, and is Past President of the Alabama Head Injury Foundation.
A proud native of Dothan, Alabama, Mike and his wife Carol have three children—Shelby, David Michael II, and Jack. They attend First Baptist Church in Dothan. In his downtime, Mike enjoys photography, with award-winning work recognized both locally and nationally.
Education
Mike earned his bachelor’s degree from Troy State University at Dothan. Following his undergraduate studies, he pursued his passion for law, earning a Juris Doctor degree cum laude from Faulkner University’s Thomas Goode Jones School of Law in 2001.
During his time there, he was deeply involved in student leadership, serving as President of the Kenneth F. Ingram Senate of Delta Theta Phi law fraternity, Chief Justice of the Student Bar Honor Court, and a two-term member of the Law Review Board. He also represented his peers as a senator in the Student Bar Association. His academic excellence was recognized with awards for Best Scholastic Achievement in Contracts and Criminal Law, along with the prestigious West Publishing Corpus Juris Secundum Award.
