Beasley Allen principals LaBarron Boone and Kendall Dunson were named among the 2022 Lawdragon 500 Leading Lawyers in America.
The annual Lawdragon 500 Leading Lawyers listing is among the most elite distinctions in the profession, covering the “best of the best” in all practice areas. Both LaBarron and Kendall were recognized for their work in plaintiff litigation. Kendall was also recognized for his workers’ compensation work.
LaBarron joined Beasley Allen in 1995 and soon after became the first African American partner at a major law firm in Montgomery, Alabama. He has handled numerous cases involving crashworthiness, seatbelt restraint failures, accidental airbag deployments, tractor rollovers, tire separation, and consumer and insurance fraud. His latest passion is holding Big Pharma responsible for the nation’s opioid epidemic.
Kendall handles product liability, general personal injury, and workers’ compensation cases involving defective industrial machinery. He has worked on several cases which have influenced corporations to design and manufacture safer products. He was recently hired to represent the family of a man who suffered a serious lung injury and ultimately died after being exposed to a toxic chemical while working at the Decatur Daikin America plant. The PPE and respirators the company provided him were later deemed inadequate.
