  • July 14, 2025: AAIB releases a preliminary report revealing that both engine fuel control switches were abruptly moved from “RUN” to “CUTOFF,” cutting fuel supply and causing the engines to lose thrust.
  • Ongoing: Air India initiates a “Safety Pause”, reducing services. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) orders enhanced inspections of all Boeing 787 aircraft in India
