Meet Miland F. Simpler, III, a passionate attorney with a big heart for defending the rights of individuals and a keen focus on making sure that our environment is protected and preserved. His work is fueled by his belief in justice and making a positive impact on both people’s lives and the world around us.
Miland’s approach to law is deeply personal. He leans on his strong values of faith and family, which he believes are the backbone of a fulfilling life. These values are a perfect match with Beasley Allen, our firm prides itself on its dedication to helping others and upholding strong moral principles. For Miland, being a lawyer is more than a job—it’s his way of contributing to a better society and aiding the planet.
But Miland isn’t all about serious matters. When he’s not in court, he’s a loving husband and a proud dad to two kids. He’s also a huge fan of the University of Alabama, especially their athletic teams, and he enjoys hitting the golf course whenever he gets the chance. Music is another one of Miland’s passions, reflecting his well-rounded and vibrant personality.

Education
Miland, an alumnus of the University of Alabama, is distinguished both by his academic and extracurricular achievements. In 2010, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Philosophy, a tenure marked by his active involvement and leadership in numerous honor societies and organizations. Notably, Miland was inducted into the prestigious Phi Beta Kappa Society and Omicron Delta Kappa Honor Society, exemplifying his academic excellence and leadership qualities. As the President of the Order of Omega and a member of the Lambda Sigma Honor Society and the Student Government Association, he demonstrated remarkable leadership and dedication to service.
Continuing his academic journey, Miland graduated from the University of Alabama School of Law in 2013 with his Juris Doctor. During his legal studies, he contributed significantly to the academic community as a published contributor and Student Articles Editor for The Law & Psychology Review. Additionally, his commitment to advocacy and legal skills were evident through his roles on the 2012-2013 Campbell Moot Court Board and the 2013 Robert F. Wagner National Labor and Employment Moot Court Team.
