Alabama lawyer selected to serve on The National Trial Lawyers Executive Committee

MONTGOMERY, ALA. (October 20, 2020) – Beasley, Allen, Crow, Methvin, Portis & Miles, P.C. Principal and Executive Committee member LaBarron Boone has recently been selected to serve on Executive Committee for The National Trial Lawyers – Top 100 Civil Plaintiff Lawyers group.

Beasley Allen attorney LaBarron Boone

LaBarron is an accomplished trial lawyer representing clients who have been tragically injured or families who have lost loved ones by no fault of their own. He has been involved in cases resulting in several multi-million-dollar verdicts or settlements during his 25-year tenure with Beasley Allen. Recently, LaBarron argued to a jury that the 1998 Ford Explorer is defective in design and prone to rollover. After listening to all the evidence, the jury agreed in finding that Ford failed to meet its own safety guidelines for the Explorer’s rollover resistance requirement and attempted to cover up the vehicle’s defective design, returning a verdict against Ford Motor Company for $151,790,000.00 for injuries suffered by our client Tre Smith.

LaBarron’s involvement in the landmark $581,000,000 verdict in the Merriweather v. Whirlpool case is also noteworthy because that case caused Whirlpool Financial to end a corrupt set of financial practices in the State of Alabama that preyed on lending to the poor.

In addition to his work in the Personal Injury and Products Liability section, LaBarron is working with local governments across the country to help hold opioid manufacturers responsible for their part in the nation’s opioid epidemic.
