About Melody
Melody Demasi joined Beasley Allen’s Atlanta office in 2025 and helps individuals and families navigate the aftermath of serious injuries and wrongful death. She represents clients in cases involving commercial trucking collisions, unsafe premises, and dangerous or defective products. Her experience includes premises liability litigation, crashworthiness claims, and product defect cases involving vehicle design and occupant protection systems, including seatback failures, tire failures, fuel-fed fires, and other defects that can increase the severity of crash-related injuries.
Her passion for trial work began in high school when she joined her mock trial team and discovered a love for both the intellectual challenge and courtroom advocacy. That early interest grew into a career focused on helping people through some of life’s most difficult moments. Today, she investigates and litigates complex cases involving technical, engineering, and product safety issues, translating complicated concepts into compelling arguments for judges and juries. Her work has earned recognition from both Super Lawyers Rising Stars in Georgia and Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch® in America for Transportation Law.
One of Melody’s most memorable victories came during her first trial as lead counsel, when she secured a favorable verdict for her client and successfully defended that win on appeal. Since then, she has helped obtain significant recoveries for injured clients, including serving on the team that secured a record-setting wrongful death settlement of more than $56 million in a Georgia commercial trucking case. She brings the same dedication to every matter, working closely with clients from the outset to develop a strategy, preserve key evidence, navigate challenges, and pursue the maximum recovery available under the law.
Before joining Beasley Allen, Melody spent several years representing defendants in personal injury cases. That experience gave her valuable insight into how defense teams evaluate and litigate claims, helping her anticipate and counter their strategies on behalf of injured clients. She is proud to represent individuals and families affected by traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, severe burns, and other catastrophic injuries, helping them navigate the legal process and seek the compensation they deserve.
She is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, Dekalb Bar Association, Lawyer’s Club of Atlanta, and the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association.
Outside the courtroom, Melody is deeply invested in her community and family. She serves as an adjunct professor at Emory University School of Law, where she coaches the law school’s nationally recognized mock trial team and mentors aspiring attorneys. She also participates in her family’s Relay for Life team. Away from work, Melody enjoys playing tennis, exploring Atlanta’s restaurant scene with her husband, cheering on the Falcons, and spending time with her three-year-old daughter and two dogs.
Education
Melody graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Kentucky in 2011. She went on to receive her Juris Doctor from Emory University School of Law in 2016.
