About Shelby

Shelby Mitchell began her career with Beasley Allen in 2021. She currently works in the firm’s Personal Injury Section, assisting principal attorneys LaBarron Boone and Greg Allen. She also handles cases involving serious injuries and defective products, wrongful death, and trucking.

Shelby said her primary goal is to be a friend and advocate for her clients and ensure they know she is fighting for them every step of the way. While resolving a case is important, Shelby believes that being supportive and empathetic can make a huge difference in the overall experience for her clients.

Shelby feels that practicing law is an opportunity to make a difference. She is honored to help people navigate their legal challenges with compassion and professionalism.

Shelby is originally from Dothan, Alabama, and resides in Montgomery, Alabama with her husband, Joe Wiley Mitchell, who is also a local attorney. The couple met at Faulkner University’s Thomas Goode Jones School of Law. When they’re not in the courtroom, they enjoy traveling, spending time with their families, and watching Auburn sports.

Community Involvement

Shelby founded an organization called Teach to Tell – Stand Up, Speak Out, which focuses on raising awareness of and working to eradicate abuse, with a focus on sexual abuse.
She volunteers with the Judge Frank M. Johnson, Jr. Institute and has also been involved with Girls, Inc. of Dothan, the Domestic Violence Intervention Center in Opelika, Alabama, and Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
