Courtney Horton began working at Beasley Allen Law Firm during law school in September 2018 as a law clerk in our Consumer Fraud Section. She is currently an attorney in the same section working on Attorney General litigation and pharmacy cases.
Education
Courtney earned a Bachelor of Science degree from York College in 2017 where she majored in psychology and criminal justice. She obtained her law degree from Faulkner University Thomas Goode Jones School of Law in 2020, graduating summa cum laude. While in law school, Courtney competed on the school’s trial team and its national moot court competition team. She was also managing editor of the Faulkner Law Review and was a student pupil in the Hugh Maddox Inn of Court in Montgomery, Alabama.
Professional Associations
Courtney is a member of the Alabama State Bar and the Montgomery County Bar Association Young Lawyers Section where she serves as a board member.
Community Involvement
Courtney is a member of Landmark Church of Christ. She has been a member since 2018 and volunteers in the nursery and with the greeting committee.
Background
A California native, Courtney moved to Nebraska to attend York College in 2013. While in Nebraska, she also met her husband, Josh. The couple moved to Alabama so that Courtney could attend law school. They are eager to stay in Alabama where they hope to start their family.
