A jury in Florida returned a $14.5 million verdict to a husband and wife in a lawsuit filed over a car crash that involved a driver with no insurance in 2004. A Miami jury found for David and Carrie Zucker, who claimed that Geico insurance owed them because the others involved either had no insurance or were underinsured.

The Zuckers’ policy had benefits that under Florida law require auto insurance carriers like Geico to pay damages in such cases. The company had rejected the Plaintiff’s claim. The crash happened on I-95 in Miami after a motorist, Miguel Gonzalez, collided with an 18-wheeler and careened into the path of the Zuckers’ car. David Zucker suffered spinal and other injuries. Geico says it may appeal. The Plaintiffs were represented by Crane A. Johnstone, a lawyer in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.

Number one firm

I really appreciate the law firm, they look into every detail, they review everything with you not just once but several times to make sure everything is correct. They are a very good law firm and I would highly recommend them. They'll always call you back when you call with questions. They're number one in my book.
