Recently, the American Inns of Court announced Judge Joel Dubina as the recipient of the national organization’s Lewis F. Powell, Jr. Award for Professionalism and Ethics. Judge Dubina, a Montgomery native, has served with distinction on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit since 1990. From June 1, 2009 to July 31, 2013, he was the Chief Judge of the Eleventh Circuit. Judge Dubina, who is well-respected by all members of the bar, enjoys the reputation of being fair and highly competent in every respect. Judge Dubina is a most deserving recipient of this prestigious award.
