Teen driving deaths – what you need to know to keep your kids safe

Beasley Allen shareholder Greg Allen visits the Beasley Allen Report this week to talk about teen driving deaths. In Alabama, driving accident deaths account for about half of preventable deaths for teenagers. The three primary factors that influence teen driving deaths are alcohol, seat belts and distractions. Show host and Beasley Allen attorney Gibson Vance talks with Greg Allen about vehicle safety features that can help protect your teenager in the case of a serious accident. Greg is the lead products liability attorney at Beasley Allen. Often in cases involving serious personal injury, particularly in a single vehicle accident, an investigation reveals a defective product is to blame. This may include a faulty seatbelt, airbag, seat back, or weak roof strength. Greg says parents can look for features in an automobile that can help prevent an accident, like Electronic Stability Control (ESC), and keep a driver and passengers safer in the event of an automobile crash.
