Beasley Allen’s Glover files lawsuit on behalf of drowning victims, WAKA-TV reports

Beasley Allen attorney Chris Glover talked to WAKA TV-8 reporter Heather Vaclav about a lawsuit filed April 25 on behalf of the family of two young boys who drowned on Monday. Victor Garcia, 7, and his brother Cristubal Basurto Garcia, 5, drowned in the swimming pool at Cyprus Court Apartments. The lawsuit alleges the apartment complex, its management company Fountainbleu Management Services, and the property manager were negligent in following required safety measures to protect the children. He hopes the lawsuit draws attention to the issue of pool safety, and motivates other property owners to make sure their pools meet all safety precautions. “That’s why we do this,” Glover said. “I want to stop this from happening to another family.” Glover filed the complaint in the Circuit Court of Montgomery County, Ala., with other Beasley Allen lawyers Jere Beasley and Cole Ports, and co-counsel Darron Hendley.
