Brantwood Childrens Home New Tennis Court

Brantwood Children's Home officials cut the ribbon to their brand new tennis court. The Montgomery Rotary Club made this possible by raising thousands of dollars at a fundraiser. the director, Kim Herbert, believes this tennis court will help the children gain personal strength. Brantwood Children's Home is a safe house for children ages 10 to 21.

The oil industry has known for 100 years that gasoline expands with temperature. As it warms, gasoline expands by volume but not by weight or energy content. Since the1920s, the oil industry has taken temperature into account for wholesale transactions, and uses a 60 degree Fahrenheit standard when measuring gasoline at wholesale. However, retail sales are not temperature adjusted. As a result, consumers pay a Hot Fuel Premium when gasoline temperatures exceed 60 degrees, as they do throughout the country during the summer.

On May 18th, at 2:00, the Great Strides walk will be held at the Montgomery Zoo. About 1,000 kids a year are diagnosed with this disease. By walking and raising money, we are one step closer to finding a cure to Cystic Fibrosis.

Dr. Fadrin OLiaei was told by her supervisor that she could no longer continue her research with 3M as she found dangerous levels of PFC's in the Mississippi river near the 3M plant in Cottage Grove. State Senate hearings were held about the sickness from exposure in Lake Elmo, Woodberry, Cottage Grove, and even cancer in animals.
