Baby monitors pose deadly risk
(00:01:43)
Nearly 2 million baby video monitors have been recalled, because the cords pose a dangerous strangulation hazard to infants. Two babies have died, and one nearly choked to death as a result of the monitors being placed too close to the cribs. Babies can become entangled in the cords from these monitors with deadly results. The monitors are manufactured by Summer Infant. New product labels and instructions will be placed on the products warning parents and caregivers they should never place these and other corded cameras within three feet of a crib.
