September, 1989 – In this case, Plaintiff opened the back door of his truck into an energized guy wire. Defendants negligently allowed this guy wire to be energized. When Plaintiff's truck door hit they guy wire, he was electrocuted and killed. The jury also heard evidence that there were many other potential electrified guy wires throughout the state. The jury punished Defendant by awarding a substantial verdict.
