March, 1997 - This case involved an insurance company who entered into a scheme to defraud its own customers dealing with their cancer insurance. The company specifically trained its agents to switch its customers policies from a very good policy to a very bad policy. The insurance company's motive was to provide less benefits to the customer so it could make a bigger profit. This case was handled and settled as a class action.
