MONTGOMERY, ALA. (July 6, 2010)  - Beasley, Allen, Crow, Methvin, Portis & Miles, P.C. has filed a lawsuit in the Circuit Court of Baldwin County, Ala., against British Petroleum ("BP") and several other companies with ties to the Deepwater Horizon oil spill. The firm represents James E. Fisher and Kate C. Fisher, who have incurred damages related to the disaster, including damage to their real and personal property, earning capacity, business income and use of natural resources. This is the first lawsuit related to the BP oil spill disaster to be filed by Beasley Allen in Alabama state court.

MONTGOMERY, ALA. (June 24, 2010)  - Beasley Allen Law Firm presented the City of Greensboro, Ala., Recreational Department with a Wii gaming system Wednesday, June 23, 2010. The City was selected as the sixth recipient in the firm's yearlong "Wii Give Back!" campaign. The City plans to use the Wii at its recently renovated Recreational Center, which is open to all members of the community for activities and events. People of all ages can enjoy the facility. The center hosts after-school activities, and during the summer months provides a safe place for youngsters to gather.

The Wii is becoming a popular therapeutic tool, useful in both physical therapy / rehabilitation and in working with young people facing crisis situations by providing caregivers with a tool to comfort and engage children.
