MONTGOMERY, ALA. (March 12, 2009)  - A Montgomery County jury awarded the estate of Catherine Parker $2.75 million against Ford Motor Company today. Parker was killed in July 2007 when her 1999 Ford Explorer rolled over during a crash. Beasley Allen attorneys Benjamin E. Baker, J. Cole Portis and J. Greg Allen represented Parker's estate against defendant Ford Motor Company.

Esdale and clients, Margie Louise Meibergen, Sharon L. Brandt and Julie Brandt Mayfield, will be attending the congressional hearings this week and are willing to speak to the media. The group appeared on the CBS Early Show Tuesday morning and later on CNN.

The complaint was filed in the United States District Court Middle District of Alabama against Toyota Motor Corporation and Toyota Motor Sales, USA, Inc.

(January 21, 2010)  - A team made up of seven Junior and Senior level students from Saint James High School in Montgomery, Ala., has been selected to represent the State of Alabama at the National Mock Trial competition May 5-9 in Philadelphia. The students came out on top of 66 teams from throughout the state that competed during the annual YMCA Youth in Government Youth Judicial event, held Nov. 16-18, 2009. Beasley Allen attorney Clay Barnett is the team's head coach.
