The Alabama Supreme Court on Friday threw out jury decisions awarding the state more than $274 million from three pharmaceutical companies, ruling they did not defraud the state in pricing Medicaid prescription drugs.

The US Dept of Labor has recently released the preliminary 2008 census of fatal occupational injuries.
A total of 5,071 fatal work injuries were recorded in 2008, but this is the smallest number of annual fatalities reported since this census began in 1992.

The greatest gift that can be given again and again is probably love. Of course, a Wii gaming system isn’t too bad, either.The Beasley Allen law firm in Montgomery donated a Wii to Alabama’s Special Camp for Children and Adults, which is near Lake Martin, Aug. 19. ASSCA stands for Alabama’s Special Camp for Children and Adults.
Camp ASSCA has been open for 33 years since 1976.

The Nintendo Wii is much more than a game console for folks at the Alabama Special Camp for Children and Adults. The system, donated by Beasley Allen in Montgomery, could bring additional exercise and rehabilitation to ASCCA campers, who visit the Jackson's Gap facility.

Beasley Allen law firm and dozens of other attorneys from across the country are banding together to help people with disabilities, as well as those recovering from injuries including strokes, broken bones, surgery and even combat injuries. By working together and donating dozens of Nintendo Wiis to local rehabilitation centers, hospitals, nursing homes and similar facilities, we hope to help thousands of people.

Hoover police have arrested two men who allegedly burglarized the homes of Hoover residents they tracked on Facebook. Police say the suspects used the popular social networking site to glean personal information about residents, including summer travel plans.
