Beasley Allen law firm has reached a settlement agreement on behalf of the family of Nicole Ford, a Lee High School student who was killed when her school bus crashed Nov. 20, 2007, in Huntsville, Ala., and plunged 30 feet from a highway overpass to the ground below. Ms. Ford was among 40 students traveling to the Huntsville Technology Center who were involved in the tragic crash. None of the students was wearing a seatbelt.

Montgomery, Ala. - Beasley, Allen, Crow, Methvin, Portis & Miles, P.C., has been retained by the families of two of the seven victims killed in a fiery van crash on U.S. 82 Oct. 3. The incident involved an Alabama Department of Corrections vehicle that was struck by an 18-wheeler early that Friday morning. The ADOC van was carrying employees and job applicants from a state prison near Union Springs to another prison when the crash occurred about 5:50 a.m.

A complaint was filed on behalf of Sue Gilmore Tatum and Ken Tatum Tuesday afternoon in the Circuit Court for Montgomery County, Alabama. The complaint alleges defendant Patrick Cumbie negligently ran the Runabout he was operating into plaintiff Sue Gilmore Tatum and into the pontoon boat on which she was a passenger.

Yamaha has issued a recall alert for 2008 models of its Yamaha Rhino 450 and 700 side-by-side vehicles. The brake caliper on the left front wheel could have been made incorrectly, resulting in a brake fluid leak.This can cause loss of braking and vehicle control, posing serious safety risks to driver and passenger.
