Managing shareholder, Thomas J. Methvin, invited to speak at University of Alabama School of Law seminar.
Montgomery ALA (September 19, 2007) – Thomas J. Methvin, managing shareholder at Beasley Allen law firm will be speaking on the topic, "How to Conduct an Intake and Investigation," at The Boot Camp for Litigating an Automobile Accident Case Seminar. The seminar is being held at University of Alabama School of Law in Tuscaloosa on Friday, September 21, 2007.
Thomas Methvin began his legal career with Beasley, Allen, Crow, Methvin, Portis & Miles, Portis & Miles P.C. in 1988 representing victims of consumer fraud. He pioneered many legal theories which are still in use today throughout the country. He also became a national spokesman for the rights
of consumers and the law that apply to their rights.
He has appeared on "Good Morning America," "The O'Reilly Factor," and on all the major networks to discuss these issues. He has also appeared in numerous publications, including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and Business Week Magazine.
Since 1998, Mr. Methvin has been the managing shareholder of the firm. In 2002, he was selected by the National Law Journal as one of the top ten litigators in the country under the age of forty. He was recently honored by his peers by being chosen one of the Best Lawyers in America.
Mr. Methvin is on the Cystic Fibrosis Advisory Panel and on the Board of the prison ministry, Let God Arise Ministries. He also serves on the Board of Brantwood Children's Home, which houses abused and neglected children. He serves on the consumer Liaison Committee of the Alabama Insurance
Department, which designs ways the Department can be more consumer friendly.
In addition, Mr. Methvin currently serves on the Board of Bar Commissioners of the Alabama State Bar and is past Vice-President ofthe Alabama State Bar Association. He is also a Past President of the Montgomery County Bar Association.
