Theft of trade secrets

A federal court jury in Huntsville, Alabama awarded an $11 million verdict against Vanguard Research Inc., a Virginia Company. PEAT, Inc., a small Alabama company, claimed that Vanguard stole trade secrets, including unique technology relating to a high temperature thermal destruction and waste processing system based on plasma torch technology. Attorney Rhon Jones was lead counsel for this verdict, which is the largest trade secret verdict in Alabama history. The case has since been settled.
