As a part of National Child Passenger Safety Week, Beasley Allen sponsored a Seat Check Saturday event in partnership with Safe Kids USA and the Alabama Department of Public Health. The event, held Saturday, Sept. 25, provided parents and child caregivers an opportunity to have their child safety seats installed or inspected at no cost. Qualified seat installation experts inspected 50 child safety seats from 9 a.m.-noon at EastChase shopping center in Montgomery. This was part of National Seat Check Saturday, with similar events held throughout the country.

Beasley Allen Law Firm will sponsor a FREE event for parents and child caregivers in the River Region on Saturday, Sept. 25, to ensure their child safety seats are properly installed in their vehicles. The event, Seat Check Saturday, is part of National Child Passenger Safety Week, an annual event presented by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). Seat Check Saturday will be held from 9 a.m.-Noon in Montgomery at The Shoppes at EastChase.

This is the inaugural publication of this highly anticipated national analysis, which will be compiled annually by U.S. News Media Group and Best Lawyers. Beasley Allen was given a Metropolitan First-Tier ranking in the areas of Mass Tort Litigation / Class Actions - Plaintiffs, and Personal Injury Litigation - Plaintiffs. Beasley Allen also received a Metropolitan Tier 2 ranking for Health Care Law in Montgomery. Rankings will be featured in the October print issue of U.S. News & World Report.

Summer's approach means that swimming pools and spas are opening throughout the country, providing a way to cool off and slosh away the time. Sadly, though, it also means that hundreds of children will likely become injured or even drown in accidents that could have been prevented with a little more awareness about the dangers swimming pools pose to kids. Each year, the U.S. Consumer Products Safety Commission launches a campaign aimed at improving pool safety. This year it is taking an extra step by launching a new website that focuses on steps parents and guardians can take to ensure their children stay safe around pools.

Nine Beasley Allen attorneys were selected for inclusion on the 2010 Super Lawyers list, a designation earned by fewer than five percent of lawyers in the state. Included on the list are the firm's founding shareholder, Jere L. Beasley, as well as shareholders J. Greg Allen, Thomas J. Methvin, J. Cole Ports, Daniel W. "Dee" Miles III, C. Gibson Vance, Andy D. Birchfield, Jr., Rhon E. Jones and Benjamin E. Baker, Jr. Additionally, Beasley earned the additional distinction of being named among the Top 50 Lawyers in the state.

It was an emotional day at West Gadsden High school March 10th. Many students just learning the news that one of their classmates died. De'sherrime Murray, or Dede as many called her, was killed after suffering severe injuries in a bus crash Monday. ABC 27's Jerry Hume takes us to a memorial service at the school.

The Commitment to Service Award is held each year to honor an individual in the River Region for their efforts and achievements in serving their community. This award ceremony includes a fine dining dinner and a Roast of the honoree by several individuals who have known them for some time and can share with us some of their memories of the relationship they have with our honoree and have a little laugh at their expense as well. The evening also includes a silent auction as well. Funds raised by corporate sponsorship, ticket sales and the silent auction are used to support a specific charitable organization who is also a part of the evening's events, sharing information and images of their work.
