You may have noticed commercials promoting the “Over the limit. Under arrest.” Campaign Alabama is participating in to help decrease the number of fatal car accidents between now and the end of Labor Day. And while you should never drink and drive, car accidents are only one area of safety you should be concerned with over this last summer holiday.
- Boating Safety – remember to have life jackets for everyone, look out for others, and DO NOT operate a boat while drinking or impaired;
- Pool Safety – watch your kids and watch out for slippery surfaces;
- Home Safety – if you are taking care of any projects around the house, be sure to be careful – don’t use ladders alone, drink plenty of water, and avoid back strain;
- Personal Safety – if you are planning on a vacation, make sure you don’t post this information on the internet.
Have a fun Labor Day weekend. Just a little planning and good decision making can keep you and those around you from being injured.
