Jury orders British drug firm to pay Alabama $215 million

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) — A state court jury has awarded Alabama $215 million in its Medicaid drug price fraud suit against a British pharmaceutical firm.

The circuit court jury said AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals must pay $40 million in compensatory damages and $175 million in punitive damages.
