Southern Trial Lawyers Association “War Horse” award recognizes extraordinary contributions to cause of Justice by lawyers in active practice more than 30 years
MONTGOMERY, ALA. (March 8, 2011) – Jere L. Beasley, Founding Shareholder of Beasley, Allen, Crow, Methvin, Portis & Miles, P.C., was honored by the Southern Trial Lawyers Association (STLA) on Friday, March 4, receiving the “War Horse” Award. This recognition celebrates the nation’s most outstanding trial lawyers. The honor was bestowed during the War Horse Banquet as part of the STLA’s 23rd Annual Conference, held in New Orleans, Louisiana.
War Horse honorees are nominated by members of the STLA in recognition of extraordinary contributions to the cause of Justice. Acknowledged leaders in their communities, the recipients have been active in practice for more than 30 years, demonstrate outstanding skill as trial advocates, and show exceptional commitment to furthering the cause of justice.
“We are very happy to honor Mr. Beasley as a 2011 War Horse recipient,” Jody Campbell, STLA Executive Director, said. “Since the award’s inception, the STLA has given the War Horse to only the most deserving honorees. Mr. Beasley is certainly a War Horse for his clients.”
“This is the highest honor that can only be obtained after a lifetime of excellence as a trial lawyer,” Beasley Allen Shareholder Chris Glover said. Glover was elected president of STLA at the conference on Saturday. “Mr. Beasley inspired everyone that heard him speak at the awards banquet to do better. He is the real deal,” he said.
Honorees are presented with a solid bronze casting of a reared stallion, designed by renowned wildlife artist Pierre Pierce, symbolizing the remarkable career of these War Horses of the South.
