MONTGOMERY, ALA. (April 25, 2012) – The law firm of Beasley, Allen, Crow, Methvin, Portis & Miles, P.C., will represent the family of Victor Garcia, 7, and his brother Cristubal Basurto Garcia, 5. The boys drowned Monday, April 23, 2012, in the swimming pool at the Cypress Court Apartments in Montgomery, Ala. Beasley Allen lawyers Jere L. Beasley, J. Cole Portis and Christopher D. Glover, and attorney Darron C. Hendley are representing the Plaintiffs, the boys’ parents, Erika Basurto and Maurilio Garcia. Defendants named in the lawsuit are Cyprus Court Apartments; Fountainbleau Management Services, LLC; and Erica Randle.
The lawsuit alleges the two boys “gained access to the unsupervised and unprotected swimming pool area on the Defendants’ premises” where they fell into the pool and drowned. The suit alleges negligence, wantonness, and recklessness on the part of the Defendants.
The complaint (03-CV-2012-900552.00) was filed in the Circuit Court of Montgomery County, Alabama.
