Beasley Allen Law Firm and the Millbrook Police Department will sponsor a FREE tire safety inspection at the Millbrook Walmart located at 145 Kelley Blvd off of Hwy 14 on Saturday, June 13, from 7:30-9:30 a.m. A trained officer will explain the tire manufacturer’s code to each driver, which allows them to discover the tire age.

The suggested tire age limit is six years

With no dependable system in place to ensure tire safety, it falls to the consumer to be vigilant. Tire tread and inflation levels are common factors in tire-related accidents. Many people are not aware that as tires age the rubber can become more brittle and more prone to a blowout, regardless of tread or inflation levels. Officers will be on hand to explain how to determine the age of your tire and instruct you on the manufacturer guidelines.
