at the cross small At the Cross event to be held on August 9On August 9 at 7:00 p.m. award-wining musicians Kim Hill and Ashley Cleveland will perform in concert at St. James United Methodist Church, followed by an inspirational message from Chette Williams, Auburn University football chaplain and noted speaker and author. All are invited to attend this phenomenal night of praise.

Kim Hill has won several Dove awards and has earned a Grammy nomination for her music. Many of her songs have become number one singles. Most recently she won the 2007 Dove Award for Inspiration Album of the Year with the SELAH duets Bless the Broken Road. Kim was the first Christian singer to achieve two consecutive number one singles from a debut album.

Ashley Cleveland has won three Grammy Awards for her music. Most recently she was awarded the 2008 Grammy for Best Christian Rock Album for Before the Daylight’s Shot. In 1996, Ashley became the first woman to win the Grammy in this category. In addition to her own albums, Ashley has performed on over 300 albums for other artists including Amy Grant, Emmylou Harris, Faith Hill, Don Henley, Michael McDonald and many others.

Chette Williams, former Auburn University football letterman, has served as Chaplain for Auburn’s football team since 1999. He is also the director of the campus’s Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) and devotes his time to minister to the needs of Auburn’s players, coaches, families, staff, and students. Chette, who holds a Masters Degree in Divinity and formerly served as a church pastor, is noted for his profound impact on the Auburn community.
