Seat back failures a growing problem, Beasley Allen’s Rick Morrison explains

In this episode of the “Beasley Allen Report,” Beasley Allen principal and guest host Kendall Dunson welcomes fellow Beasley Allen attorney Rick Morrison to discuss an issue rarely addressed by the media – defective car seats. You may not realize it, but your vehicle’s car seat plays a huge part in your safety in the event of an accident. If the seat was to fail or malfunction during a crash, particularly a rear-end collision, you can be paralyzed or even killed in part by the defective seat. Mr. Morrison works in the firm’s Personal Injury/Products Liability section and specializes in protecting consumers from defective products. Despite having been aware of seat back failures for decades, automakers don’t wish to alarm consumers of the problem and attempt to keep incidents under wraps. Mr. Morrison advices consumers to ensure their vehicles seat backs are secure and can protect them in an accident.
