Beasley Allen’s Gibson Vance promotes Seat Check Saturday on WSFA

Beasley Allen attorney Gibson Vance visited WSFA’s Alabama Live program to discuss child car seat safety. He talked with program host Judd Davis about Seat Check Saturday, set for Sept. 22 from 9 a.m. – noon at The Shoppes at East Chase in Montgomery, Ala. This is the third year Beasley Allen Law Firm has sponsored the event in cooperation with SafeKids USA. Car seat safety specialists will be on hand to assist parents and caregivers in properly installing safety seats in their vehicle, making sure already installed seats are properly secured, and checking seats to make sure they are not affected by safety recalls. The Beasley Allen event is part of National Seat Check Saturday and Child Passenger Safety Week, sponsored by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). Gibson said 85 percent of safety seats are not installed according to manufacturer guidelines. This may result in serious injury and even death in the event of a crash.
