Beasley Allen attorneys Jere Beasley and Parker Miller discuss BP settlement on Alabama Live

Following a report on the press conference held Thursday morning, July 2, by Alabama Gov. Robert Bentley and Attorney General Luther Strange to announce a settlement in principle with BP, Beasley Allen lawyers Jere Beasley and Parker Miller talked to Tonya Terry on Alabama Live to discuss the settlement. Upon final approval by the judge in this case, the settlement will provide the State of Alabama with $2.3 billion for economic and environmental damages resulting from the April 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. Lawyers from Beasley Allen represented Gov. Bentley’s office in this litigation. The total settlement will compensate five states for losses related to the disaster and will total in excess of $18.5 billion. It would be the largest environmental settlement in U.S. history.

A positive manner

Several years ago my brother and sister -in-law were in a terrible car accident. My sister in-law was paralyzed from her neck down. Beasley Allen handled the case for my brother to see to it that my sister-in-law received the proper and necessary care she needed. I appreciate the attorneys and staff of Beasley Allen in handling this matter quickly and in a positive manner. Good job Beasley Allen!!
