About Reid Strickland
Reid Strickland, a native of Dothan, Alabama, joined the firm’s mass torts section in August 2011, and works primarily on issues relating to ongoing SSRI litigation. In 2006, Strickland received a B.S. degree from the University of Alabama, in Healthcare Management, graduating summa cum laude. While attending the University of Alabama, Strickland was a congressional intern for Congressman Artur Davis and also worked as a student assistant for the University of Alabama’s Sports Information Department.
In 2009, Strickland earned his J.D. at Faulkner University’s Thomas Goode Jones School of Law. He was elected Student Bar Association President during his third year of law school following his service as the organization’s Vice President and Senator the previous two years. While in law school, Strickland was also a member of the law school’s successful Moot Court and Mediation teams. During law school, Strickland clerked for the State of Alabama Attorney General’s Office and the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office.
Following graduation, Strickland clerked for Judge Terri Thomas on the Alabama Civil Court of Appeals and worked with The Law Firm of J. Douglas McElvy, where his practice focused on civil litigation. Strickland is a member of the Montgomery County Bar Association.
