Clint Carter received his B.A. from Emory & Henry College and his J.D. from Cumberland School of Law of Samford University; after which, he successfully passed the bar exam in four different states. Clint represents individuals and businesses not only throughout the region, but also across the country. He is currently involved in complex business litigation cases involving pharmaceutical pricing; and he is representing state Medicaid agencies in average wholesale price (AWP) litigation. In addition, Clint is involved in the representation of state entities and their health and insurance plans in litigation against the pharmacy benefits management (PBM) industry. Concerning other business disputes and litigation, Clint recently authored an article entitled, "The Robinston-Patman Act: The Law of Price Discrimination," which was published in the Alabama Lawyer.

Clint's additional areas of practice include insurance fraud and bad faith litigation. He represents policyholders and beneficiaries in insurance disputes throughout the southeast including Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, Arkansas and Florida.

Throughout the course of this representation, Clint has been involved in several multi-million dollar settlements on behalf of individual policyholders as well as businesses in cases against the insurance industry.

Clint speaks frequently at legal seminars on a wide range of topics, including business litigation opening statements, closing arguments and the trial of insurance fraud cases. Clint authored the article “Pattern and Practice Evidence in Alabama,” which has been used at various fraud seminars and lectures. Additionally, he speaks annually at a seminar focused on the training of young lawyers and litigation skills.

Before coming to Beasley Allen, Clint worked for a Birmingham-based firm that represented insurance companies.

Clint is married to the former Elizabeth K. Brannen of Frostproof, Florida. Elizabeth is an attorney with Hill, Hill, Carter, Franco, Cole & Black of Montgomery. The couple have a daughter, Brannen Kay, and a son, Smith Pierson. They attend St. John's Episcopal Church in Montgomery.
