Personal Injury Lawyer Ben Locklar

About Ben

Ben practices as a member of Beasley Allen Law Firm’s Personal Injury and Products Liability Section.

Background

Following his graduation from law school, Ben served one year as a law clerk to the Honorable John C. Tyson III on one of the Alabama appellate courts. In 1990, he began his law practice with a local firm in which he later became a partner. Ben handled several cases, ranging from products liability to medical malpractice to personal injury cases, many of which resulted in six- and seven-figure settlements and verdicts. Ben returned to work as a senior staff attorney with the appellate court for 2004 and part of 2005, before joining Beasley Allen.

Ben initially began working “of counsel” with Beasley Allen in 2005 in the Mass Tort section, working primarily on the Vioxx litigation.  Those cases settled for $4.85 billion.  After those cases concluded, Ben began working in the Product Liability/Personal Injury section of the firm.  Since that time, Ben has worked a wide range of cases, including mesothelioma, nursing home, automobile product liability cases, non-auto product liability cases, car wrecks, and a host of other types of cases, resulting in significant verdicts and settlements.

Ben is a Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent Rated attorney. Previously, he served on the editorial board for The Docket, a publication of the Montgomery County Bar Association, and the board of trustees of the Montgomery County Association for Justice.
